CSV product importer

This feature lets you import products from a CSV file.
In order to use this facility, you need to upload a CSV file to the extrafiles directory using the upload tool found on the extra page / file management page.
Once your file is uploaded you can start the import procedure.
Please note that this importer only inserts products, not categories. You will need to go through the products afterwards in the shop maker administration by going to product / category management and clicking on view all products. From there, you can assign your product listings to the relevant categories.
Red Eye Media hold no responsibility for any loss of data whilst using this tool and always suggest that products are best put into the database one at a time.

Enter the file name into the tool, followed by the data seperator and the amount of lines you would like to preview.

You will be shown a few lines of your data. It is a good idea to examine this because you will see if there are an problems with your CSV file. It's important to remember that the script will have trouble if you selected a comma as the seperator and there are commas in your descriptions.

Proceed through the database selection pages until you get to the column matching area:

This is where you match up the columns in your csv to the fields in the product table. Please note that you only need to assign the columns and fields you wish to populate. It's OK to leave them blank.
When you click the next button, the data will be imported and a summary will be displayed showing you how successful the import was.
