Drop Shipping Information

<< Back
29.04.2005

We have just added "drop shipping" functionality into Shop Maker.

What is "drop shipping"?
This enables the shop owner to setup accounts for re-sellers and enables the re-sellers to enter their clients details at checkout and have the original shop send the goods straight to their client.
This is ideal for offering sellers a trade rate on your products so that they can sell for a profit. Alot of shop owners do this for Ebay sellers.

How do you enable "drop shipping" in Shop Maker?

Firstly, you need to enable trade accounts in the trade account management. In there, you are able to add, edit and delete accounts. Once this is enabled, you need to enter trade prices for your products. This is done by editing each product. You then open your extrasettings file and make it so: $dropshipping="y";

If a user logs in, their name is displayed at the top and they are shown trade prices.
When they checkout, their postal details are displayed and a "send items to" form is empty for them to enter their clients details.

Tips

If you delete the "invoice logo", you will be able to print an un-branded invoice, which can be sent to the re-seller and the re-sellers client.
